Steps to take before calling Appliance Force’s appliance repair team
Is The Door Open? – Many appliances have door locks which check to ensure the doors are properly closed. If the door of the appliance is open they will not operate. Check if the doors are closing properly and nothing is jamming the door.
Have You Read The Manual? – All appliance manual have simple troubleshooting tips. Customers should check these appliance manuals for tips before calling for appliance repair.
Is It Plugged In? – While it may seem silly, sometimes an appliance refuses to work and after wasting a lot of time behind it we find that it isn’t plugged in. Vibrating washers, brooms and vacuums and some times even small kids can knock plugs out of the wall. This is one of the first things we recommend a customer check before calling our appliance repair professionals.
Has the breaker tripped? – If the equipment is plugged in the next place for you to look out would be the central home electrical box and see if the circuit breaker has tripped. If this happens try resetting the circuit breaker. If this solves the problem customers should check to see if the breaker is rated for the appliance and there isn’t anything else on the breaker. If the break trips again you may want to call Appliance Force to check that a problem with your Appliance isn’t causing the trip.
Try A Different Power Outlet – There might be issues with the power outlet that is supplying power to your equipment caused by the outlet being knocked or other issues, try connecting the appliance to a different outlet and see if it works.
Check For Strange Noise – Washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers have a tendency to make strange noise when small things such as coins and plastic get stuck. Check if there are any such items inside the appliance creating the noise. Such items may jam or cause this appliance to malfunction. Removing these items many save a repair trip.
Are The Vents Blocked? – Many household appliances have air vents and that are important for proper functioning. Check appliance vents to see if they are plugged or if dust and dirt has settled on them and blocked them.
